Ayurvedic Consultations

Ayurveda is considered by many scholars to be the oldest healing science. In Sanskrit, Ayurveda means “The Science of Life.” Ayurvedic knowledge originated in India more than 5,000 years ago and is often called the “Mother of All Healing.” It stems from the ancient Vedic culture and was taught for many thousands of years in an oral tradition from accomplished masters to their disciples. Some of this knowledge was set to print a few thousand years ago, but much of it is inaccessible.

The Consultations

The first Ayurvedic consultation lasts up to 90 minutes and includes the following components:

1. Comprehensive Health Assessment
 – Detailed discussion about your medical history, lifestyle, diet, and daily habits.
 – In-depth analysis of current health concerns or symptoms, including digestion, sleep patterns, and mental state.
 – Ayurvedic pulse reading (Nadi Pariksha), tongue and nail diagnosis to assess the body’s internal imbalances.

2. Dosha (Constitution) Analysis
 – Determining your unique Ayurvedic constitution (Prakriti) based on the three doshas: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha.
 – Identifying any imbalances (Vikriti) that are contributing to health issues.

3. Personalized Diet & Lifestyle Advice
 – Customized diet plans that align with your doshas and current imbalances.
 – Mind-Body Techniques to improve mental clarity.

4. Healthcare Plan
 – A plan for further consultations to monitor progress and adjust recommendations as needed.
 – This holistic approach focuses on treating the root cause of issues and promoting long-term health and well-being.

Healthcare Plan

A healthcare plan is important to monitor progress and fine-tune the initial recommendations

1. Progress Review
 – Assessment of how you have responded to the initial diet, lifestyle, and herbal advice.
 – Discussion of any changes in symptoms, improvements, or challenges faced since the last consultation.
 – Adjustment of goals and expectations based on the current state of health.

2. Adjustment of Diet & Lifestyle
 – Modifications to the original diet plan based on your current digestion, energy levels, and season.

3. Monitoring Mind-Body Practices
 – Revisiting and refining stress management techniques like meditation, yoga, or breathing exercises and mental well-being.
